She has been a leading figure within the family business arena for around fourteen years. Her exposure, apart from import / export, etc, in Human Resources and Financial Management / Control has been an asset for Samrat International to further develop group business interests.

Currently, Datin' V. Manimekalar is an Executive Director of May Exim Sdn. Berhad and Admin Director of Samrat Cruise Berhad which is a subsidiary of Samrat International Group.

She coordinates and controls May Exim Sdn. Berhad Direct Sales team in Product Promotions, Seminars and Product Launches. May Exim Sdn. Berhad current main stays are sales of Telecommunications Products, Air - conditioning, General trading, such as Textiles, Granite, Leather Products and Garments.

Her ability to identify product vacuum and effectively fill the need has been a tremendous profit earner for the company, her ability to formulate appropriate marketing strategies and combine product sales with incentives to capture the market is remarkable.

Yang Berbahagia First Admiral (Retired) Datuk Nick Peterson rendered exemplary services while he was in Royal Malaysian Navy.( From 1961 - 1997)

He has received sixteen Malaysian Honours and Awards and four Foreign Honours bestowed by Presidents and a King.

This bumiputera of Portuguese - Malaysian descent had rendered yeoman service to the nation' by his single minded devotion to duty and exemplary life style. His leadership quality saw him being promoted over and over culminating in the last appointment as First Admiral.

He has had ample exposure in Maritime Resources Management and also extensive experience in the design of Ports and Harbors. He is familiar with the layout of commercial ports and activities associated with shipping.

His valuable services to Malaysia generally and the Sabah Government lead him to be conferred PGDK which carries the title of Datuk by Sabah Government.

Commanding Officer:
As Commanding Officer of several Royal Malaysian Navy ships Laksmana (B) Datuk Nick Peterson was responsible for the safety of the crew and vessel, the conduct of Naval Operation in Ports, Harbors, Malaysian Territorial Waters and Exclusive Economic Zone. As such, he also had the opportunity to interact with vessels of the Merchant Navy, and Agencies and Departments associated with Maritime Affairs in Malaysia.

Shore Appointments:
Service in Shore Appointments, especially Operation provided a close insight into issue of National Security and the workings of Agencies and Departments associated with matters of Malaysia's National Security and Interest. As Director of Operation, he has a Committee Member of the National Maritime Enforcement Coordinating Committee of the National Security Council.

Commander Naval Region 2:
As Commander Naval Region2, encompassing the waters of Sabah and Sarawak and the Associated Exclusive Economic Zone. Laksmana (B) Datuk Nick Peterson was responsible for the conduct of Naval Operation to safeguard Malaysia's Territorial Waters and the Exclusive Economic Zone of the region. This included security of the coastal and Malaysian Ports and Harbors. As such he was a member of the Sabah State Security Council.

Commander Naval Region 2:
As a Consultant to the Institute of Development Studies Sabah, Datuk Nick Peterson drew up the framework for a study to document the maritime Resources of Sabah. This resulted in a publication issued by the Institute of Development Studies called the 'Sabah Strategic Maritime Development Framework', which was published in 1997. This book remains a guide to Maritime Resource in Sabah.

Datuk Nick Peterson is currently a Director with Posford Haskoning Sdn Bhd, a company with 25 years history in Malaysia and associated with the Planning and Design of Ports and Harbors. DATO' Dr. NELSON RENGANATHAN holds s Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Hull (UK) and a Doctor of Philosophy degree majoring in Human Behavior from La Jolla University, San Diego (U.S.A).

Mr. Mohandas Mukundan commenced his career in the Administrative Department of Harper Gilfillian & Company, A prominent British Agency House In 1958 as a Supervisor of Clerks and Stenographers.

He left and joined the Civil Service as an Administrative Assistant in 1960.

He had from time to time been promoted from Division III to Division II and finally Division I (Managerial & Professional Group) in 1978.

In 1980 he was appointed Assistant General Sales Manager for West and East Malaysia. He was responsible for Marketing of Tickets for both Domestic and International flights.

He was given the responsibility for all marketing aspects for Tour Groups and also embassy ticketing. He held the post of General Sales Manager for 7 years then joined as vice president marketing in Samrat International in 2001. Currently he is involved in bringing business from embassies, Tour groups and Travel Agencies in Asia Pacific region with more than 120 Travel Agencies associated with our company.

 -  Worked on board company's owned vessels on various positions, working up from Fitter to Junior Engineer to third Engineer. Served as Second Engineer on near     coastal vessels for two years on Company's Container Feeders fleet and Product Tanker.

1988 - 1993 : Alfa Pacific Pte .Ltd
 -  2nd Engineer to Chief Engineer then to assistant superintendent.
 -  To assist in the daily operations and to take charge of the company's four (4) Off Shore Support Vessels and two (2) Support Station barges. Was stationed in     Singapore & Indonesia.
 -  Duties of assisting superintending functions in respect of Vessel's & Barges seaworthiness and compliances to Class, Statutory, Off Shore HSE requirements,     Operations and their certification.
 -  Preparing dry dock specifications and attending dry dock repairs.

Mr. Rajendran Veerayan is a 42 years old (Johny) gentleman, married with 2 children. He well versed in banking, having been as Assistant Manager in a Bank. He is a sibling of YB Datin Manimekalar Veerayan. He, having acquired sufficient exposure in banking, joined family business. He has been with this company for 5 years as head of the property and Development Division.



MR. SASTRY


Mr. Sastry Raman is a brother of YB Dato' Dr. Palanisastry. He is 39 years old, married with children. He has been with this family business group for over 15 years. His area of management within the group is basically to confine accounting. He is currently Head of Credit and Finance on the group.



MR. AVADIAR


Mr. Avadiar Muthusamy is 39 years old, married with children. He had considerable exposure in Marketing and Trading, having been in large Rubber Glove Manufacture Exporter. He is well versed in international trading and has been a back bone in this line for the company.



MR. SARAVANAN


Mr. Saravanan is the youngest brother of YB Dato' Dr. Palanisastry the founder / owner of the group. Mr. Saravanan is 36 years old, married with children. All through his working life, he had been in the shipping line basically Shipping and Forwarding. He is currently the head of Forwarding and Shipping Division within the group.
